Traveling Farm

Can’t get to The Urban Farm? Don’t worry, we can bring a little bit of the farm to you! Schedule a one time or re-occurring visit where our farmers will bring hands-on agriculture, animal husbandry, and natural science activities to your classroom. Programs can be curated to support select Colorado Academic Standards, a specific curriculum or event.

Fees:

Base fee: $150.00 includes 1hr of exploratory learning. Priced for 1 class and/or approx. 25 participants. If you would like our educators and animals to stay an extra hour, an additional $75 will be added on.

  • Goats- $100.00

  • Garden Activity- $50.00

  • Animal Craft- $25.00

  • Chickens/Ducks- $25.00

  • Rabbits- $25.00

  • Lambs- $100.00

We will travel up to 10 miles from the farm. Beyond 10 miles, an additional fee of $10/mile will be added. We will NOT travel more than 20 miles away from the farm.

PAYMENT, DEPOSIT, AMENDMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS

PAYMENT: Once your traveling farm request has been confirmed & approved, an invoice will be sent electronically. Payment is due in full 30 days prior to your scheduled field trip or on receipt if less than 30 days. If you are unable to pay in advance, please request an alternate payment method. A deposit will still be required.

DEPOSIT: A $50 deposit is required in order to reserve your event date. You will receive an electronic invoice via email, payment may be made directly from the invoice. Full payment is due prior to the commencement of your event. If you cancel 30 days prior to the event, you will be refunded 100%. If you cancel less than 30 days prior, you will be refunded your payment less $50 deposit Events scheduled less than 30 days prior are subject to a non-refundable deposit of $50.

AMENDMENTS: If you need to REDUCE the number of participants/length of time for your event you may do so two week prior (14 days) to your scheduled field trip, we will adjust your invoice to reflect lower charges. If you need to INCREASE your number of participants or length of time we will will do our best to accommodate the change request but it is not guaranteed.

CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING: We will work with you to reschedule your event due to school district closures, inclement weather, or cancellations made by The Urban Farm. A full refund may be granted if the cancellation is requested by TUF and we are unable to reschedule. For elective cancellations, your advance payment and deposit will be refunded if cancellation is made 30 days prior to your event. For cancellations less than 30 days prior to your event, your advance payment less your deposit will be refunded.
