Meet TUF's Boer Goats: Kiwi & Main

  • Kiwi (the mostly brown Boer), loves to jump up on the food trough and get pets in between her horns!

  • Main (the mostly white Boer), also loves to jump up for pets and will let you know when you're getting the spot by wagging her tail, just like your dog at home!

More About the Nigerian Dwarf Breed: These goats are often regarded as gentle and intelligent, making them good pets and some breeders choose to bottle feed kids in order to create a stronger bond with humans. A Nigerian Dwarf goat's gestation period is 145 to 153 days and often have 4 to 5 kids at a time. This breed was originally brought to the United States to feed carnivores onboard ships being transported to zoos, however the survivors ended up being kept as herds within the very same zoos.
