TUF Member Registration - Opens December 11, 2023 at 8:00am
TUF Members receive a early registration access and a discount during this period for summer camps, receive this benefit by signing up to be a member today! *Being a member does not guarantee you a specific camp, it is still first come first serve during membership registration period.
General Registration Opens - January 11, 2023 at 8:00am (Equine camp may sell out during member registration period).
Summer Camp Scholarships- The Urban Farm offers scholarships for individuals and/or families that demonstrate financial need. This form will request information such as participation in government assistance programs, your family’s budget, and/or other indicators or special circumstances of financial need. Summer Camp Waitlist - TUF’s summer camps fill quickly. You can join the waitlist on Sawyer during your registration period (member vs general). You must have a Sawyer Account for your camper to be added to the waitlist and claim a spot in camp if it becomes available.

Our Camp Offerings for 2024:

For those interested in signing up for multiple weeks of camp, please be aware that all curriculum, crafts, activities, games, and animal interactions are the same each week. In order to ensure campers are fully engaged we discourage signing campers up for multiple weeks of the same camp.

STORY BOOK FARM (AGES 4-5)

Story Book Farm is a magical place for young children to explore and learn about farm animals and plants. Each day, campers experience a different part of the farm, like the cheerful poultry area or the calm cows, goats, sheep, and horses. They also discover the important role of pollinators and learn hands-on about composting and gardening. The farm's educators make learning fun by incorporating music, art, STEM projects, and animal interactions into each day's activities.

Each week of camp includes a TUF Camp t-shirt.

Half-Day | Monday - Friday | 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Full-Day | Monday - Friday | 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

FUN ON THE FARM (AGES 6-7)

Each day, campers will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a wide range of engaging activities that will deepen their understanding of animal care, food sources, and the inner workings of farms. Through captivating storybooks, interactive musical lessons, stimulating STEM activities, memorable animal interactions, and delightful games, campers will embark on a journey of knowledge and discovery. By offering a diverse range of experiences, we aim to foster a love for nature and an appreciation for the vital role that farms play in sustaining our communities.

Each week of camp includes a TUF Camp t-shirt.

ALL AROUND THE FARM (AGES 8-9)

Each day, campers will focus on a particular area of the Farm, learning how to care for animals, plant seeds, and be stewards of the land. Animal interactions including engaging and working with sheep, goats, chickens, rabbits, donkey and miniature horses. Campers will get their hands in the dirty while gardening in soil and then travel to the STEM Station to do hand on experiments and learn all about the science and technology that keep farms running. Campers will stay active and learn teamwork while participating in games and challenges that help reinforce each days lessons.

Each week of camp includes a TUF Camp t-shirt.

Full Day | Monday - Friday | 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

HALF-DAY HORSE CAMPs (9 am -12 pm)

Very Young Riders (Ages 5-7, No experience necessary)

This camp is specifically tailored for young riders aged 5-7 who are just starting their equestrian journey and have limited or no previous riding experience. It offers a comprehensive program that introduces participants to horses and equine care through a combination of mounted and unmounted lessons. The curriculum emphasizes a hands-on approach, providing children with the opportunity to learn about horses both on and off the saddle. Additionally, every day brings an enjoyable and artistic activity for your enthusiastic horse lover to engage in, further fostering their passion for all things equestrian.

Young Riders (Ages 5-7, Some experience necessary):

This camp is specifically tailored for young riders aged 5 to 7, who have prior experience with VYR or possess a basic understanding of horse riding. Through a combination of mounted and unmounted lessons, these riders will delve into the fascinating world of horses, gaining comprehensive knowledge about their anatomy, behavior, and care. Additionally, every day will be infused with creativity as participants indulge in exciting horsey-themed crafts, further fueling their passion for these majestic creatures.

FULL DAY HORSE CAMPS (9:00 AM - 3:00PM):

Pony Pals (Ages 8 - 15, No experience required)

This beginner-friendly camp is tailor-made for individuals who are new to the world of horse riding. Geared towards those with limited or no prior experience, participants in this program will be immersed in a comprehensive curriculum that covers everything from basic riding to horse care and much more. Each day will be packed with an exciting array of engaging activities, including horse-themed crafts and various interactive exercises, guaranteeing a well-rounded equestrian experience.

Saddle Club (Ages 8 - 15, some experience required)

This camp is designed for riders who have previously participated in Pony Pals or possess some experience with horses. In this enriching program, riders will have the opportunity to further develop and fine-tune their equestrian abilities while also bolstering their confidence in the saddle. The daily lessons will encompass a well-rounded curriculum, featuring a mix of mounted and unmounted activities, ensuring that riders both strengthen their riding techniques and broaden their knowledge of horsemanship. Additionally, participants will have the chance to engage in craft activities, fostering their creativity and allowing for a well-rounded and immersive experience in this remarkable camp.

TuF Trotter (Ages 8 - 15, experience required)

This camp is specifically tailored for young riders with prior experience in Saddle Club camp or some level of independent steering and trotting skills. In addition to mounted and unmounted lessons, participants will have the opportunity to explore their creativity through engaging crafts and activities. Our aim is to create a fun and educational environment where riders can further develop their equestrian abilities and expand their horizons both on and off the saddle.
