Volunteering for School Groups
Students can give back to their community by volunteering at the Farm. Activities generally include short projects, cleaning animal pens, and other farm chores. Service Learning is limited to grades 6 or above. Chaperones are required; a small fee may be assessed to offset supervision supplied by the Farm.
All opportunities include a quick tour of the Farm! Please make sure to wear weather-appropriate clothing and close-toed shoes; no open-toed shoes are allowed for your safety. Additionally, work gloves are a plus! It can get quite hot, so please also make sure to bring a filled water bottle (which can be re-filled) and wear sun-screen as there is little shade. While not required, donations and/or grants from your organization are greatly appreciated and generally the funds are used for the supplies and materials to support your project.
To ensure the safety of our volunteers and our farm friends, we ask that all students and adult chaperones/guests bring a signed Waiver and Release (download and print) or for Spanish, Dispensa en Espanol Granja Urban Farm al Stapleton (descargar y imprimir). Please note that for our student groups, the Waiver and Release form must be signed by their parent or guardian.
